What I see through the lens: high desert landscapes, the Milky Way over the Monkey Flower Ranch, faces from my Army years, the Salmon filled Gulf of Alaska, and the small and large wonders I’ve photographed while wandering for decades – frozen in pixels and silver halide.
Eight years on jump status and deployed to fun and games during the Reagan years – then three more years mechanized combat engineers in West Germany. Good thing I brought my grandfather’s Nikon with me for part of the experience.
Astrophotography: wide angle shots of the Milky Way, the moon, meteors, star clusters, nebulae, and the mysteries of darkened skies.
Photographing the horizon is an addiction for me. Here you can join me in a wander across this planet.
I worked on both a longline schooner out of Petersburg SE Alaska, and a purse seiner out of Kodiak. Longlining for Black Cod, Halibut, and Red Snapper – purse seining for Red and Pink Salmon. We ate like kings.
And a showcase of some of the excursions I had during my younger days.
